About this test

Check on your thyroid levels and get advice on your next steps

This at-home test will measure the levels of two key hormones to understand if a thyroid disorder may be the reason for recent changes to your mood, weight, digestion, energy or sleep.

Why test

Thyroid disorders, such as hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) and hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), can have significant impacts on your health and wellbeing.

Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland does not produce enough hormones and can cause fatigue, hair loss, muscle weakness, weight gain and sensitivity to the cold. This condition is more common in adults over 50 and affects more women than men. If left untreated, hypothyroidism can lead to complications including heart disease, pregnancy complications or a swelling in the throat.

Hyperthyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland produces too many hormones and can cause anxiety, weight loss, hyperactivity, tremor, heat sensitivity or a swelling in the throat. If left untreated, hyperthyroidism can lead to eye problems, pregnancy complications, or a thyroid storm.

This test will analyse two key hormones to give you an indication of your thyroid health, and you'll receive GP recommendations on the steps you can take based on your results.
