About this test

The Borrelia Antibodies blood test is the baseline investigation for suspected Lyme Disease. In the event of a positive test result, confirmatory testing will be required. A negative result does not rule out Lyme Disease. The clinical history is all important, and the result should be interpreted carefully with full consideration given to symptoms.

Bartonella (Cat Scratch Fever) often co-exists with Borrelia - and symptoms may be similar. Consider taking this test too.
