About this test
Anti cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti CCP) antibody is recommended by rheumatologists for diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), 90% of those with this condition will show positive with this test. Whilst it is now widely acknowledged as the more reliable indicator for RA than Rheumatoid Factor (RF), guidelines generally still advise testing for both substances.
