About this test

This blood test is for Adrenal Gland antibodies, which show positive in about 50% of patients with idiopathic adrenal cortex insufficiency (Addison's disease). They are more commonly found in females and in patients with other auto-immune diseases, including autoimmune polyendocrinopathy. They may also be seen in patients experiencing premature menopause.
