About this test

Testing Salivary Cortisol on 6 occasions throughout the day gives a better insight into the status of cortisol release, which tends to peak in the morning and diminish as the day progresses. Followers of the adrenal fatigue concept find this extended version particularly useful. Under production (Addison's disease) or especially over production (Cushing's disease) may be detected more readily this way than by single serum measurements of cortisol. This product is effectively the 'upgrade' of the 4 x Cortisol Saliva option.
