Who is Project Screen by Prenetics?
Project Screen is an initiative developed by Prenetics, a digital healthcare company with headquarters in London and Hong Kong. Pre-Covid our core, business focused on providing personalised preventative health solutions via DNA and blood tests. Our company's mission has always been to make complex science accessible via a range of innovative self-collection test kits.
In 2020, we adapted and evolved into COVID-19 testing, taking advantage of our laboratory network, scientific expertise, and digital systems to deliver world-leading COVID-19 testing solutions.
Why should I order a COVID-19 test from Project Screen by Prenetics?
Since April 2020, we have delivered over 1,000,000 COVID-19 tests across multiple sites in the UK. We are the exclusive testing provider for some of the world's biggest sporting leagues and governing bodies (including the Premier League and the England & Wales Cricket Board), film and TV production companies (including Sky and Disney), and aviation providers (including Heathrow Airport). In December 2020, we were announced as one of the first 10 UK Government-approved private testing providers for the Test to Release for International Travel scheme, allowing entrants to shorten their quarantine after arriving in England. After the success of our Test to Release home test kits, we have widened our offering to include home test kits suitable for the Green Day 2 or Amber Day 2 & 8, Fit to Fly, and for everyday testing for reassurance. More recently, we have partnered with IWG to launch pop-up Test Pods at multiple sites across England, to provide local COVID-19 testings for everyone in England, to further play our part in helping the UK get back to 'normal' as quickly, and as safely, as possible.

How do I send my home test sample to the laboratory?
We will do our very best to make sure that we can support you in getting your sample to the laboratory safely and securely.
You can do any of the following:
1. Free Royal Mail Tracked 24
2. Prenetics drop off locations
3. Self-arranged private courier
1. Free Royal Mail Tracked 24
All of our COVID-19 home test kits include free Royal Mail Tracked 24 return mailers to post your completed sample to our laboratory. Send your test kit back using the free Royal Mail return envelope provided via a Royal Mail Priority Postbox Monday - Friday. You can find your nearest Priority Postbox here. When researching your nearest Royal Mail Priority postbox, remember to consider the collection days and last collection times for a postbox. This should help ensure your sample arrives promptly at the laboratory. Please bear in mind that Royal Mail has limited or no service on Saturdays or Sundays, therefore kits should not be put in a postbox on a Saturday or Sunday with return to the lab expected on that day. Use the following table to understand when your sample(s) will arrive at our laboratory according to the day you posted your sample.
2. Prenetics drop off locations
By dropping off at one of our locations, your sample will be collected by courier and delivered directly to the laboratory. Depending on which Test Pod you drop your sample off at, the average time for samples arriving at the laboratory ranges from 6:30pm - 11pm. Please note that samples must be returned before the courier arrives and passed by hand to the staff member on site. Staff members sit within the Pod. For each pod, the courier arrives at closing time. For example, the closing time for the Dartford Pod is 4pm so the courier arrives at, or shortly after, 4pm. Prenetics does not accept any liability for lost or delayed samples that are dropped at the Test Pods out of hours and refunds will not be issued.
3. Self-arranged private courier
You can use a private courier. We recommend this option if you need to return your sample over the weekend to receive your COVID-19 results on a specific date. Please arrange a private courier to collect your sample and deliver it directly to our laboratory, at the following address: Anglia DNA Services, 33, Scottow Enterprise Park, Norwich, NR10 5GB.

Can I use a Project Screen test when I arrive in England from abroad?
Yes. Travellers arriving from non-red list countries can use the Project Screen arrival tests. Which arrival test depends on whether travellers have been fully vaccinated in one of the UK Government''s eligible vaccination countries or not.
From 4am Monday 4 October, you will qualify as fully vaccinated if you are vaccinated either:
Formulations of the 4 listed vaccines, such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Moderna Takeda, qualify as approved vaccines.
You must have had a complete course of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before you arrive in England.
Where 2 doses of a vaccine are required for a full course, you will be able to:
You must be able to prove that you have been fully vaccinated (plus 14 days) with a document (digital or paper-based) from a national or state-level public health body that includes, as a minimum:
forename and surname(s)
date of birth
vaccine brand and manufacturer
date of vaccination for every dose
country or territory of vaccination and/or certificate issuer
If your document from a public health body does not include all of these, you must follow the non-vaccinated rules. If not, you may be denied boarding.
If you are fully vaccinated in the USA, you will need to show a CDC card showing you''ve had a full course of an FDA-approved vaccine in the USA. You''ll also need to prove that you are a resident of the USA.
If you are fully vaccinated in Europe, you will need to show an EU Digital COVID Certificate (EU DCC), showing you''ve had a full course of an EMA or Swissmedic-approved vaccine.

You may be able to end quarantine early if you pay for a private COVID-19 test through the Test to Release scheme.
Can I use a Project Screen test before flying out of England?
Yes. Our Fit to Fly services utilise RT-PCR tests which are recognised as the global, gold-standard COVID-19 testing method. Our Fit to Fly test will confirm whether you are currently infected with coronavirus (COVID-19). Present your negative result at the airport as your Fit to Fly certificate.
Depending on which country you are visiting, you may be required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 result 48-96 hours before arriving at your destination. You will need to review the requirements of the country you are flying to regarding the specific timeframe for a Fit to Fly certification and prepare accordingly.
I'm not travelling, can I still order a Project Screen COVID-19 test?
Yes, of course. We have our Health Check COVID-19 testing services that will confirm whether or not you are currently infected with coronavirus (COVID-19). There are a huge amount of reasons why people wish to discover their current COVID-19 status - whether they need to test for work, to provide care, or simply for reassurance. If you are based in the UK, check to see if you live near one of our Test Pod locations to do your Covid test in person.
How accurate are the COVID-19 tests by Project Screen?
Prenetics uses test kits which are approved for use for COVID-19 testing by the United Kingdom healthcare regulatory authorities (Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency - 'MHRA') and our laboratories comply with the relevant international testing standard ISO15189 (footnote 1). This means all products, personnel and processes used in our COVID-19 testing process are subject to a rigorous quality management regime and external validation. Despite this, all diagnostic testing generates a very small percentage of false results so we can never guarantee the accuracy of every result - the Lancet reported that ""RT-PCR tests to detect severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) RNA are the operational gold standard for detecting COVID-19 disease in clinical practice. RT-PCR assays in the UK have analytical sensitivity and specificity of greater than 95%, but no single gold standard assay exists (footnote 2).
All samples are sent to our UK-based laboratory for analysis. All samples are processed in ISO-15189/ISO-17025 internationally accredited laboratories. Our laboratory partners are UKAS accredited or UKAS applicants and DHSC validated, and use RT-PCR assays that have the highest levels of accuracy based on the QCED UK EQAP program.
How long do the results take?
Within 24 hours of us receiving your swab at our UK-based laboratory, your sample will be analysed, and your results will be delivered securely online. You will be notified by email when your results are ready.
How do you handle personal data?
We adhere to the leading international security standard, ISO-27001. Connections are encrypted using SSL and we comply with GDPR.
I have children (<18 years of age). Are they eligible?
Yes, children are eligible. A Project Screen account must be created by an adult, however, multiple profiles can be added to one account, including profiles for children under the age of 18.
I don't need to test anymore, can I get a refund?
If you cancel your home test kit(s) order and we haven’t dispatched your test kit(s), you will receive a full refund. If we have dispatched your PCR test kit(s) order and you have not activated the test(s), we will offer a full refund minus £20 administration fee, with an additional £10 per each additional PCR test kit to a maximum of £50. If you have activated your test(s) or sent your completed PCR sample(s) to our laboratory for analysis, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund as your sample will be analysed by the laboratory. If we have dispatched your lateral flow antigen test kit(s), we will not provide a refund and you can use this test at a later date.
If you would like to cancel your Test Pod test appointment, you will receive a full refund minus £20 administration fee, up to 24 hours before the time slot for your appointment. If you do not cancel 24 hours before your test appointment, we cannot offer you a refund and you will be charged in full. No refunds will be provided if results have been issued or for missed appointments for onsite testing.
