It is the first COVID-19 digital Health Passport for Sports.
Leading genetic testing and digital health company Prenetics (also known as CircleDNA) today announces it has developed the firstCOVID-19 digital Health Passport for Sports.
The digital Health Passport is a web-based platform to identify an individual’s COVID-19 testing status and history based on RT-PCR COVID-19 test results provided by Prenetics. It works by scanning a QR code to determine results are valid and current for entry/access via agreed points of control at stadiums and for any venues in which safety is a concern.
As part of its Project Screen by Prenetics COVID-19 twice a week testing program, Prenetics has tested 8,687 Premier League players and staff to date, with positive results for sixteen individuals. The individuals which have tested positive have all been directed to self-isolation for closer observation.
Prenetics, and its group associates and suppliers, are currently delivering solutions to Premier League, NHS England, the Bundesliga, and Deliveroo (Hong Kong).
With such a large number of tests, it was critical to develop a digital Health Passport which was integrated as part of the testing process. The digital Health Passport steps for enrollment are:
“This clinical Health Passport demonstrates how employers can link digital results to access controls or accreditation systems at a time when the UK opens the doors to return to normal work and life for millions of our country people, part of the commitment of Prenetics to playing a leading role in ‘getting Britain back to work and living’."
