Outbound COVID-19 Test Kits Delivery

We dispatch our test kits via DPD. You will receive a message from DPD on the day of delivery. This message specifies a one-hour period within which your parcel will be delivered. If you will not be at your UK address on this delivery date, you can adjust the delivery date, time, location directly via DPD (website or app). You'll have the option to:

  • adjust the time of your delivery
  • request for your parcel to be left in a safe place
  • change your delivery address
  • choose a Pickup parcelshop near you

On the delivery day, you can follow your parcel online thanks to Live Tracking. On the map you can even see how many stops the driver still has to make.

Our distribution centre is open Monday - Sunday.

COVID-19 Home Test Kit Sample Return Options:

We will do our very best to make sure that we can support you in getting your sample to the laboratory safely and securely.

You can do any of the following:

  1. Free Royal Mail Tracked 24
  2. Return to Lab Courier (within M25 only)
  3. Prenetics drop off locations
  4. Self-arranged private courier

Option 1: Royal Mail Tracked 24

All of our COVID-19 test kits include free Royal Mail Tracked 24 return mailers to post your completed sample to our laboratory. Send your test kit back using the free Royal Mail return envelope provided via a Royal Mail Priority Postbox Monday - Friday. You can find your nearest Priority Postbox here. When researching your nearest Royal Mail Priority postbox, remember to consider the collection days and last collection times for a postbox. This should help ensure your sample arrives promptly at the laboratory. Please bear in mind that Royal Mail has limited or no service on Saturdays or Sundays, therefore kits should not be put in a postbox on a Saturday or Sunday with return to the lab expected on that day.. Use the following table to understand when your sample(s) will arrive at our laboratory according to the day you posted your sample.

I posted my sample(s) on a... It should arrive at the laboratory on a... *
Monday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Tuesday
Tuesday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Wednesday
Wednesday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Thursday
Thursday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Friday
Friday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Saturday
Saturday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Monday **
Sunday Post before ‘Last Collection’ time for the best possible chance of the lab receiving your sample on Monday **

* These are estimates only.

** Royal Mail does not deliver on Sundays for all non-NHS tests. If a sample was collected on a Saturday / Sunday this would most likely arrive at the nearest Royal Mail Depot and remain there until normal delivery resumes. Your sample would most likely arrive at our lab on the following Monday or Tuesday depending on the post box collection times.

Please make a note of the tracking number that is detailed on the returns label. Additionally, please do not stick the returns label on top of the lilac COVID-19 block on the outside of the kit box. The outer packaging of the kit should be wiped with an antibacterial wipe before placing the kit in a priority postbox.

Ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, reduced air and freight capacity, high volumes and weather conditions are all impacting Royal Mail’s delivery across the UK. Please refer to Royal Mail’s website for their latest updates regarding delivery delays.

Please note: we do not accept any liability for delayed results due to late or lost samples.

Option 2: Return to Lab Courier (within M25 only)

If you live within the M25, during checkout you will have the option to select 'courier collection from your address' for an additional £10 per PCR test kit. If you select this option, our trusted partner, Stuart, will handle your PCR sample return. You will be asked to select your preferred collection date and have the option of three time slots:

  • 8am - 12pm (sample arrives at the lab on the same day by 3pm)
  • 2pm - 5pm (sample arrives at the lab on the same day by 8pm)
  • 7pm - 10pm (sample arrives at the lab the following day by 10am)

You can reschedule your collection time up to 24 hours before collection time.

Option 3: Drop-off at one of our allocated drop-off locations

By dropping off at one of the following locations, your sample will be collected by courier and delivered directly to the laboratory. Please note that samples must be returned before the courier arrives and passed by hand to the staff member on site. Prenetics does not accept any liability for lost or delayed samples that are dropped at the locations out of hours and refunds will not be issued.
