Yesterday, 27th November 2021, the UK Government announced that from 4am on Tuesday, 30th November all travellers arriving in the UK will be required to take a PCR test on or before day 2, instead of a Day 2 Lateral Flow Antigen test.

Use the following information to discover what we know about the new regulations so far, and what to do if you have purchased a Day 2 Lateral Flow Antigen test from Project Screen by Prenetics.

What are the requirements if you are already abroad or are planning to travel?

All arrivals (vaccinated and unvaccinated) from non-red list countries who were previously able to take a Lateral Flow test will now be required to take a PCR test on or before Day 2 after their arrival, and self-isolate until they receive confirmation of a negative result.

The updates do not come into effect until this Tuesday, however, the UK Government is encouraging travellers to change their behaviour as soon as possible to help reduce the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant. Today, the UK Government will be removing their recommended Lateral Flow Antigen private provider list from the Gov.UK website. Project Screen has removed the Day 2 Lateral Flow Antigen test in line with the Government’s requirements.

All fully vaccinated arrivals will now only have the option to purchase a Day 2 PCR test for £64

Unvaccinated arrivals are still required to take PCR tests on Day 2 & 8
